Doug Emma is joining the team at Play Hoboken for golf instruction.

Having graduated from Campbell University’s PGA Golf Management program, Doug has had the opportunity to work at several premier golf courses in the country including Spyglass Hill & National Golf Links of America.  He has been trained by the greatest instructors and coaches in the game, such as David Orr, Mike Adams, David Edel and Jaacob Bowden. In addition to golf instruction, Doug is backed by 5 years as a Master Club Fitter for True Spec Golf and is SwingMan Golf certified in club head speed training.

Doug’s philosophy on golf instruction and coaching is this: 

“My goal is for each of my students to reach their true potential in this game.  Getting better means improving in a combination of swing mechanics, course management, mental skills, equipment, and fitness.  My strategy is to build a custom plan for each player to lower their scores and see measurable results”.

The system allows short notice lessons to be booked. When booking a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, please email doug@playhoboken.com to confirm. Doug is generally available Monday and Wednesday evenings, but additional times/days are possible with advanced notice.
