🌟 Help Us Make Every Event Great!
TLDR; We start on time and if you arrive late you may lose your spot or even your event fee! Do you enjoy being late? Help us and go to our competitors!
We love hosting you and want to ensure every event is a fantastic experience from start to finish. To respect everyone’s schedule and make sure we can always enjoy the full event without rushing, we are enforcing a strict arrival policy.
⏰ Our Event Timeliness Policy
To keep things running smoothly, whether you are joining a billiards tournament or a tabletop event, we require your help with the following:
- Arrive 15 Minutes Early: We ask all participants to arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before the scheduled event start time. This gives you plenty of time to check in, get comfortable, and get settled before we kick things off.
- Prompt Starts: We make a dedicated effort to start our events exactly at the announced time. Arriving early is the only way to ensure this happens.
- Waitlist Seating: For full events that have a waitlist, we will begin seating waitlisted guests five minutes prior to the event’s start time. If you haven’t arrived by this time, your seat will be released to someone on the waitlist so the event is not delayed.
- Forfeited Deposits: Please be aware that if you miss the start of the event due to a late arrival, or if your seat is released to a waitlisted guest, any deposits paid for the event will be forfeited.
🎱 Why We Are Different
We know that a typical board game shop tends to start events late, and a typical pool hall often starts events VERY late.
We know we’re different. We also understand that some players might not love the strict effort we’re putting into timeliness. To be candid, those individuals are welcome to choose another place to play.
A Note on Traffic and Transit: We know that finding street parking in Hoboken can be difficult, traffic exists, and buses or trains sometimes run late. However, we consistently see 90% of our customers navigating these hurdles and arriving on time. We need to be fair to that 90% who made the effort to be here when the event begins.
“A prompt start means you get to enjoy the entire event and still head home on time.”
When guests arrive right at the start time, it pushes the entire schedule back. On-time guests are left waiting, events run much later than expected, and some folks have to leave before the event is even over.
We are certain that the majority of our customers—the ones who value starting on time and, more importantly, finishing on time—will appreciate this policy and help make our venue a continued success. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us create a better experience for the community!
