How our speed dating event will work:
- Attendees are grouped by age and gender.
- Snacks and fountain beverages are included, BYOB (wine and beer) is permitted, no other outside food.
- Playing cards will be dealt out: hearts to women, spades to men: keep your cards for the duration!
- Matched cards (hearts matched to clubs) will have a 9 minute activity date by rolling a six sided ‘activity die’, and playing that activity for nine minutes. Activities include board games, ping pong, billiards, bowling, air hockey, foosball, darts or golf (based on availability). Record your partners name and the activity on your worksheet (this will help you remember the partners you enjoyed playing with).
- After nine minutes, men will swap their cards to the next highest. The highest numbered card will switch to the lowest numbered card. By minute ten, everyone will start their next activity with a new partner.
- At the end of the event, submit paper form with all your matches and if your match also selected you: we’ll exchange contact information by email and invite you to come back for a two hour date at Play! Hoboken on us!
How our mixer will work:
- Facilitators will be on hand to help make activity partner matches.
- Snacks and fountain beverages are included, BYOB (wine and beer) is permitted, no other outside food.
- Everyone who plays three different activities with three different activity partners will receive a prize.
- We will not facilitate the exchange of contact information, however if you meet a match and let us know: you can come back with your match for a two hour date at Play! Hoboken on us.
